A free seminar explores using portable radar to measure bridge vibrations remotely, with laboratory validation and field examples.
The session begins with the SECED Young Members AGM, followed by a lecture on frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar for non-contact bridge vibration monitoring. Speaker Vikram Kumar Ramesh will discuss measurement principles, signal processing, laboratory validation, field experiments, current limitations and future applications. ICE offers both in-person and virtual attendance options.
