S. A. Robertson Public Lecture Series - Is Education Enough?
About
A hybrid public lecture by Professor Lucinda Platt examining educational attainment and labour market outcomes across the UK's ethnic groups.
Hosted by the Advanced Quantitative Research in Education (AQRiE) Thematic Hub as part of the Stewart Alan Robertson Lecture Series, this hour-long hybrid lecture is delivered by Professor Lucinda Platt of the London School of Economics and Political Science, with Professor Cristina Iannelli chairing. Platt examines the educational and labour market achievements of the UK's different ethnic groups, including the White majority, how these have evolved over time, and what explains differences in educational performance and in the link between education and employment. The talk concludes with reflections on what has been learnt and the implications for the future. Attendance is available in person at the Bessie Watson Lecture Theatre or online via MS Teams.
