About

A hip hop, funk and soul musical about suffragette Sylvia Pankhurst, direct from the Old Vic, starring Beverley Knight and Naomi Katiyo.

This Olivier-nominated musical tells the story of Sylvia Pankhurst, the middle child of Emmeline Pankhurst who fought for working women and the impoverished while her mother and sister campaigned for women's suffrage. Created by choreographer Kate Prince with a score by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, the show blends hip hop, funk and soul. Beverley Knight stars as Emmeline Pankhurst in her Olivier Award-winning role, with Naomi Katiyo as Sylvia. Running time is 2 hours 50 minutes including an interval.
