Large Willow Christmas Star at Bawburgh Village Hall

A festive willow-weaving workshop where participants make a 1m-wide Christmas star with guidance from two experienced basket makers.

The Coddiwomplers host a three-and-a-half-hour willow-weaving workshop at Bawburgh Village Hall near Norwich, where participants create a one-metre-wide Christmas star using the 'wild weave' technique. Two experienced basket makers teach basic willow-weaving skills, and the finished decoration can be hung indoors or outside, with optional lights. The session is aimed at complete beginners, though reasonable hand strength and dexterity are needed; tools, materials, refreshments and mince pies are provided.
