Batty!

Victoria Firth and Kathryn Hanke explore menopause, ageing and women’s connection with nature through the characters Batty and Wildthing, combining storytelling and humour. A post-show Q&A follows the performance.

Presented by Victoria Firth and Company, Batty! follows two characters whose encounters with wild swimming, witchcraft and the natural world challenge expectations of middle-aged women. The show uses comic stories and conversation to consider menopause, ageing and nonconformity. The 65-minute performance has no interval and is followed by a Q&A with writer-performer Victoria Firth and performer Kathryn Hanke. Suitable for ages 14+; the venue advises strong language, loud noises and dramatic scenes.
