About
The annual Herring Festival celebrates the arrival of herring in the historic village of Clovelly, promoting sustainable fishing and local produce.
The festival celebrates the arrival of herring, an oily fish rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and protein. Maritime historian Mike Smylie attends with his "Kipperland" exhibition, which focuses on the history of herring. Attendees can enjoy various herring specialities, local food, and craft stalls on the quay. The day also features live music, children's activities, and free face-painting.
