The Wellspring of 1000 Eyes
About
A free exhibition of participant-made artwork and lit window installations at The Art Department, Paisley, celebrating the venue's first anniversary in its new home.
The Wellspring of 1000 Eyes is an exhibition displayed across two floors and in the 85 window panes of The Art Department's former Argos store building, inspired by the many-eyed Greek giant Argos Panoptes. It follows a 12-week workshop programme led by up to six artists spanning glass, pottery, collage, printmaking, painting, illustration and textiles, with participants making work shown alongside their own stories. The exhibition doubles as a Christmas show open to the public, lighting up the town centre venue and focusing on health and wellbeing.
