Icelandic Fleece Making

Make a felted rug from Icelandic sheep fleece with fibre artist Trish O’Meara.

Local fibre artist Trish O’Meara of Wormit Woolies leads a practical wet-felting workshop to make a rug from Icelandic sheep fleece. The session combines hands-on work with explanation of the craft and its Scottish waulking tradition. All materials and tools are included; bring an old towel and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Felting is physically demanding and part of the process takes place outdoors.
