Peg Loom Weaving Workshop
About
A 4.5-hour beginner-friendly peg loom weaving workshop with Caitlin Barnes, where participants weave and take home a seat pad from local fleeces.
Caitlin Barnes, a Moray weaver who works with wool from her own flock of Icelandic, Blue Texel, Suffolk and Texel sheep, leads this hands-on peg loom weaving session. Each participant receives their own peg loom and materials, learning to set up the loom, create patterns and finish a woven project. The workshop runs for 4.5 hours with strictly eight places per course, and everyone takes home a handcrafted seat pad woven from local fleeces. A second session takes place on Saturday 7th November at Longmore Community Hall, Keith.
