Inverness: The Dark Side Walking Tour
About
A 1.5-hour after-dark Halloween walking tour of Inverness exploring its history of murder, executions, superstition and folklore.
This guided evening walking tour, running over Halloween, uncovers the darker side of Inverness's past, from public beheadings at the High Church to the Brahan Seer and tales of malicious fairies. Participants visit Blackfriars Graveyard and the Old High Church Cemetery, hear about bloody castle sieges, and learn the story of the "women in the mirror" at Eden Court. The local guide separates documented historical events from the legends and supernatural stories passed down through generations. The tour lasts 1.5 hours, is for adults aged 16+, and dogs are welcome.
