About
Five intergenerational diaspora artists explore waste colonialism, human migration, and storytelling through upcycled art and archival photography.
The event features five intergenerational diaspora artists—Charlie Phillips OBE, Navinder Nangla, Darcy Thomas, Ryan Hawaii, and ARU—who explore themes of waste colonialism, human migration, and storytelling. They utilize upcycled art, archival photography, and ancestral material practices. The artists transform discarded materials, such as plastic and reclaimed textiles, into works that explore resilience and the relationship between people, place, and material.
