Father Christmas Grotto at the Valley Railway

Ride the steam-hauled Christmas Express to North Pole Station and visit Father Christmas in the Gingerbread Grotto. Children can post a letter, receive a present and have a photograph; hot chocolate is provided. A treat box can be pre-ordered.

Published dates are 28–29 November, 5–6, 12–13 and 19–24 December 2026. Tickets cost £12.50 for adults aged 16 and over, £17 for children aged 2–15, and £10 for a one-year-old. Babies in arms are free and have no allocated seat; book a free baby ticket if you want a present allocated. A pre-ordered treat box is £6; the organiser says it cannot accommodate allergies.
