Discover Bokashi composting
About
A practical workshop at School Farm, Dartington on Bokashi and Indigenous Micro-organism composting for home, community and farm scales.
Sustainable South Hams hosts a practical day on Bokashi composting, exploring how 'effective micro-organisms' can turn kitchen, garden and farm waste into compost that retains carbon and nutrients. Led by Martyn Richards, a Bokashi consultant at Agriton, the session also covers harnessing indigenous micro-organisms (IMO). The programme runs 11am–3.30pm with an overview, small-scale systems, farm systems and a Q&A; tea is provided but attendees bring their own lunch. It suits home, community and farm composters of all experience levels.
