Pillow Talks: Sextortion, disability and navigating online relationships

A panel discussion exploring sextortion, online relationships and online safety from the perspectives of disabled adults.

This edition of the Pillow Talks conversation series brings together perspectives from disability, cyber safety, sex and relationships education and gender-based violence to discuss sextortion and online relationships. The session examines what sextortion is, how coercion and exploitation can be difficult to recognise, and the barriers disabled people can face when reporting abuse or seeking support. It also considers accessible sex and relationships education, consent in online spaces, and how to discuss digital safety without denying disabled adults sexual and romantic autonomy. The one-hour event is open to adults aged 18+, with disabled and neurodivergent people particularly welcome, and will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
