Healing Through Poetry: A Workshop for Beginners with Ross Wilcock
About
A one-hour beginner poetry workshop with queer disabled poet Ross Wilcock exploring healing, boundaries and self-expression through writing.
Pillow Talk Scotland hosts a one-hour introductory poetry workshop led by queer disabled poet Ross Wilcock at Project Ability in Glasgow. Using poems, conversation and writing prompts, participants move between past and present, reflecting on experiences that shaped them and imagining ways forward, with consent and boundaries as running themes. The session is for adults aged 18+, particularly welcoming to disabled and neurodivergent people, with a small group of around 10–15; sharing written work is optional. It is a creative writing workshop rather than therapy, and a related open mic follows on 17 November as a separate event.
