Author Nick Harkaway discusses his new Cold War spy novel The Taper Man, continuing his father John le Carre's George Smiley legacy.
Nick Harkaway, son of John le Carre, joins Topping & Company Booksellers to celebrate his new novel The Taper Man, in which George Smiley hunts a traitor at the top of American intelligence. Set in 1965, the story follows Smiley from a British agent's shooting in Helsinki to Los Angeles, where a Communist sleeper agent threatens Britain's prized Moscow source. The event takes place at Pilrig St. Paul's / LARCH, with doors opening at 6.30pm ahead of the 7pm start.
