About
A free display of rare prints and books exploring the life of the Chevalière d'Eon, the French soldier, diplomat and spy, at Kelvingrove.
This collection of rare prints and books examines the extraordinary life of the Chevalière d'Eon de Beaumont, a French soldier, aristocrat, diplomat and spy who lived the first half of her life as a man and the second half as a woman. Public speculation about d'Eon's gender brought her widespread fame. The display can be seen in the Fragile Art Gallery at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
