Portlethen Library National Emergency Briefing

A free double-bill film screening at Portlethen Library exploring climate and nature crisis issues and a just transition for North East Scotland, followed by discussion.

This evening event at Portlethen Library screens two films back to back. Our Future on the Table, created as part of the Just Transition Communities Project, examines what a fairer future could look like for North East Scotland and why people affected by change should be part of the conversation. The second film, National Emergency Briefing, features nine leading UK scientists and experts on the climate and nature crisis, covering extreme weather, food security, health and cost of living, and is based on the Westminster briefing covered by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times. The 50-minute screening is followed by a short open discussion; the event is suitable for ages 16 and over.
