Why We Write: York, why do you write?

Real Writers Circle brings its writers' meet-up to York, with guest speaker Naomi Booth, a writing exercise and readings.

Real Writers Circle hosts an evening for writers of any genre or form at the Council Chamber of King's Manor, York St John University. The session includes facilitated conversation between attendees, a hot-seat discussion with guest speaker Naomi Booth — novelist, short fiction writer and professor of creative writing at Durham University — plus a short writing exercise and the chance to share work aloud. The event is part of the Arts Council England-funded Why We Write project, run in partnership with York St John University, York Centre for Writing and York Literature Festival.
