Contemporary Dance Beginners
About
Beginner contemporary dance classes build confidence through accessible movement, floor work, travelling steps, musicality and short sequences. The 15 October LIFT class is also advertised as a taster option for trying the style.
Classes build from simple movement tasks toward complete routines, with introductory floor work and attention to posture, balance, coordination and musicality. City Academy describes the course as supportive and suitable for people with little or no dance experience. Its taster page offers a trial visit; the 15 October 2026 taster listing matches the first LIFT class in time, venue and named tutor. Published cohorts carry separate booking totals and dates, with two December no-class dates stated for the overlapping cohorts. The LIFT timetable names Panagiotis Pavlopoulos. Each enrolment applies to its own eight-week cohort; the combined timetable is programme availability, not drop-in access to every date. Overlapping cohort bookings remain separate options; their room or shared-class arrangement is not established. The published £7.50 trial is marked 50% off.
