From Research to Action: The Future of Rural Volunteering

Lochview Rural Training shares findings from its HTSI Research Fellowship on the future of volunteering in rural communities.

Lochview Rural Training presents the outcomes of its HTSI Research Fellowship, exploring innovative approaches to recruiting and retaining volunteers, supported volunteering and progression pathways. The research spanned visits from the Highlands to Newcastle, Edinburgh and Arizona, examining outdoor, land-based and animal-centred activities that build confidence, skills and wellbeing. The one-hour session shares stories and lessons from these visits and how they are shaping support for volunteers in rural Sutherland. Attendees can join in person at UHI Inverness or online.
