Refugee Sewing Project

A free Monday craft group for refugees and asylum seekers offering sewing, knitting, embroidery and crochet, with support for beginners.

The Refugee Sewing Project is a friendly community craft project for refugees and asylum seekers, meeting on Monday mornings at the Rising Sun Arts Centre. Participants can take part in sewing, knitting, embroidery and crochet, with experienced crafters working independently and newcomers supported to learn basic skills at a beginner level. Sewing machines and tools are provided, and attendees' expenses are covered.
