A Simply Beastly Murder

A stage film-noir comedy in which the grown-up Famous Five reunite to solve a murder, written by Rachel E. Thorn.

This Edinburgh Fringe sell-out comedy reimagines the Famous Five as adults who have grown apart: Dick, now a hardened private investigator, turns to his sister Anne when he gets in over his head. Presented as a film noir for the stage, the show is packed with gangsters, intrigue and lashings of tinned pineapple, with additional voices by Alistair McGowan. It was nominated for the Funny Women Awards and has drawn strong reviews for its tightly scripted, slickly performed take on the noir genre.
