SCO 26/27: Beethoven Violin Concerto

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Pekka Kuusisto perform Haydn's 'Drum Roll' Symphony and Beethoven's Violin Concerto at the Usher Hall.

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is joined by its longstanding collaborator Pekka Kuusisto, who directs the orchestra and performs as violin soloist. The programme opens with Haydn's Symphony No. 103, the 'Drum Roll' Symphony, before moving to Beethoven's Violin Concerto, described as a profound dialogue between soloist and orchestra. The concert takes place at the Usher Hall with Kuusisto billed as director/violin.
