New Black British Sound x BBC Introducing

A free V&A East evening pairs a panel on Black British music with BBC Introducing open-mic performances.

The programme includes a panel conversation on the history and future of Black British music, hosted by Angelle Joseph with V&A East’s Josephine Small among the named speakers. Theo Johnson hosts the following open mic, which gives nine artists a chance to perform for BBC Introducing; the performers are not named on the current page and open-mic participants must be 18 or over. The panel is listed for 19:00–19:45 and the open mic for 20:00–21:30.
