The Art of Autumn: Japanese Calligraphy Workshop
About
Calligrapher Yoko Takenami leads a beginner-friendly Japanese calligraphy workshop inspired by autumn.
Participants explore Japanese calligraphy through autumn words and imagery, practising brushwork, line and spacing with guidance from Yoko Takenami. No previous experience is needed; materials are provided, and each participant can create a calligraphy piece on a shikishi board to take home. Suitable for ages 14 and over. Participants aged 14–15 must be accompanied throughout by a parent or legal guardian; places for under-16s with a non-participating guardian are limited. Participants aged 16–17 may attend independently but must provide a parent or guardian emergency contact when booking.
