Pumpkins at the Castle

A pumpkin-filled autumn event at Watermouth Castle with a Courtyard pumpkin market, walkways, photo spots, a trick or treat trail and family fun included in day tickets.

Thousands of pumpkins fill the Castle grounds, with pumpkin-lined walkways leading to a Courtyard market where stalls are stacked with pumpkins, squashes and gourds sorted by variety. The event includes photo points, a friendly trick or treat trail for little ones running weekends and school holidays, and marshmallow toasting at two roasting pits for a small charge. Day tickets also cover the whole Castle — rides, water gardens, museums, gnome trail and dungeons — and three special Pumpkin Nights evenings run on 27–29 October from 4pm to 7pm with an illuminated pumpkin trail.
