Bayeux Tapestry: The Full Yarn

Storyteller Daisy Black retells the story of the Bayeux Tapestry, weaving its marginal fables with Anglo-Saxon poetry and English folk song.

Storyteller Daisy Black offers a 'hawk's eye view' of the Bayeux Tapestry, telling the story of the events leading up to 1066, from broken oaths to the confrontation between William and Harold. The hour-long show interweaves the fables found in the Tapestry's margins — featuring foxes, hawks and stolen cheeses — with Anglo-Saxon poetry and English folk song. It promises seventy metres of history in a single hour.
