Bukunmi Oyewole: Living on the Edge
About
A photography exhibition by Bukunmi Oyewole exploring how communities in Nigeria and The Gambia live with environmental change.
Living on the Edge brings together four photographic series made across Nigeria and The Gambia, examining how communities experience environmental change, from forests cleared for farming and mining-reshaped landscapes to home gardens and rice fields affected by saltwater intrusion. Rather than treating these as isolated issues, the exhibition shows how environmental changes connect, with decisions in one place producing consequences far beyond it. The work also highlights the resilience and adaptation of the people living through these changes, inviting reflection on the relationship between people and the environment. A public preview takes place on Friday 2 October, 3–5pm.
