Working Party Lady Gilberts Orchard
About
A volunteer conservation working party clearing, mulching and tidying Lady Gilbert's Orchard at Grim's Dyke, Harrow Weald.
Harrow Nature Conservation is holding a volunteer working party at Lady Gilbert's Orchard on the Grim's Dyke Hotel site. Tasks include clearing around fruit tree trunks, mulching with bracken, removing plants growing over a phoenix tree, digging out invasive saplings and pendulous sedges, and finishing a dead hedge tidy-up. Participants should bring a packed lunch and, if possible, their own gloves and secateurs; other tools are provided and attendees are fully insured. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and people are welcome to join for part of the session.
