UV Screen Printing with Yu Zhang

A hands-on UV screen printing workshop with artist Yu Zhang at Southampton City Art Gallery, where participants create designs and print their own works.

A hands-on screen printing workshop led by Southampton-based illustrator Yu Zhang. Participants design their own image, build and prepare a simple printing screen step by step, and experiment with colour, shape and composition before printing their own screen-prints to take home, with the option of printing a canvas tote bag. The technique combines traditional stencil mesh screening with special inks that dry instantly under ultraviolet light, and no previous experience is needed.
