Spoon Carving Taster Session

A one-hour beginner taster session introducing the basics of safe spoon carving and knife techniques.

Otter Craftwork runs this short introduction to spoon carving, covering how to carve safely and the basic knife techniques used. Participants watch demonstrations and then have a go themselves, using provided knives, chisels and a wooden blank to take home. The hour is unlikely to be enough to finish a spoon, but attendees leave ready to continue carving; under-16s must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
