Crossroads: A Research Cabaret is a one-night event combining live music, poetry, dance and stand-up comedy with research from Durham University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Institute for Medical Humanities. Performances explore experiences of illness and disability and aim to inspire fresh perspectives on health decision-making. The programme includes a 'lived experience poetry slam' presented by National Poetry Centre performance poets. Doors open at 18:30, with a 25-minute interval from 20:10; the event is part of the Being Human Festival (5-14 November 2026).
