About

A regional workshop for environment-sector partners to baseline American mink and water vole activity in the North East and shape a National Lottery Heritage Fund bid.

This in-person workshop brings together people working in the environment sector across North East England — trusts, local authorities, agencies, catchment partnerships, water companies, businesses and land managers — to support a major National Lottery Heritage Fund application for American mink eradication and water vole recovery. Participants will collate information on existing and planned mink trapping work, identify funding streams, and agree key elements of the Connected Conservation funding bids. The agenda includes national context from Darren Tansley, a video presentation on Waterlife Recovery Trust, table-group working sessions, lunch, and nominations for regional steering groups and delivery partners. It is one of four sub-regional workshops held across the North of England in November.
