Grief & Bereavement Education Training Day for Secondary Staff
About
A practical training day for secondary school staff on delivering grief and bereavement education lessons confidently and sensitively.
Living On Bereavement Service, a specialist charity supporting bereaved children and families, runs this in-person training day for secondary school staff who will facilitate or support statutory grief and bereavement lessons. The seven-hour session covers how grief presents in young people, trauma-informed approaches to age-appropriate lessons, creating safe spaces for discussion, responding to difficult questions and disclosures, and using sensitive, inclusive language around death. Attendees receive practical guidance and resources to take back to school, with lunch and refreshments included.
