Who Gets Remembered? Informal Archives, Spatial Memory and Alternative Futures, with Space Black
About
Space Black leads a workshop on informal archives, diasporic memory and the ways personal histories can inform alternative spatial futures.
Participants explore photographs, objects, stories, sounds, recipes, memories and shared spaces as living archives that can hold histories beyond institutions. The workshop considers what is preserved, lost or valued, and how such material can become a resource for imagining future environments. The billed facilitator is Space Black, the built-environment studio of Rayan Elnayal and Heba Tabidi; individual attendance is not separately stated. The workshop belongs to Under Construction: Reopening, a series curated by Alisa Oleva; her personal facilitation of this session is not stated.
