Lauridsen and Britten

Collati's autumn concert pairs Lauridsen's Lux æterna with Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, directed by Trefor Farrow with organist David Davies.

Collati's autumn concert is built around works by Morten Lauridsen and Benjamin Britten. Lauridsen's Lux æterna, a setting of words from the Requiem Mass, is paired with Britten's cantata Rejoice in the Lamb, which sets Christopher Smart's poem praising God through imagery of animals, letters of the alphabet and musical instruments. Trefor Farrow directs, with David Davies at the organ.
