Woman Scorned: Boudica Rewritten

An immersive heritage performance at Colchester Castle Museum bringing the story of Boudica to life through multiple storylines across the castle and its grounds.

This immersive heritage performance takes audiences through Colchester Castle Museum and its grounds, where Roman occupiers, defiant daughters, rival queens and mysterious Druids bring the story of Boudica, the Iceni queen who fought an empire, to life. Visitors follow different storylines, uncover hidden messages and become part of a piece exploring who gets remembered, who gets silenced and who gets to tell the story. Some of the performance takes place outdoors, so warm clothing is advised, and an accessible route is available via the Box Office. Tickets also include entry to the Castle and museum; the performance is recommended for ages 8 and over.
