Francesco Cavestri in Concert at the Pianodrome

Italian jazz pianist Francesco Cavestri performs a free solo piano concert of album pieces and live improvisation at Edinburgh's Pianodrome.

Following a London Jazz Festival date at Steinway Hall, Steinway Artist and Universal Music Italia recording artist Francesco Cavestri brings a solo piano concert to Edinburgh's Pianodrome. The performance is conceived as a single continuous flow: it opens with 'Omen of a Sea' and closes with 'Souvenir di un Bacio' from his 2026 album NOÈ, with everything in between improvised spontaneously in response to the room and audience. The format nods to Keith Jarrett's great solo European concerts, and the venue itself — seating built from salvaged pianos with no stage separating artist from listeners — makes the piano the centrepiece of an intimate, conversational evening.
