Character Clinic; Build your Protagonist

A scriptwriting workshop with Lisa Marks focused on developing and strengthening your protagonist through group feedback and scene editing.

This two-hour scriptwriting workshop, run by Lisa Marks, centres on participants' protagonists: whether they are interesting and layered, what they say and leave unsaid, and whether the audience cares about them. Writers share scenes and receive group feedback, then spend time editing, with two scenes suggested — one introducing the protagonist and one in which they want something. The session also considers how writing is interpreted by different members of the creative team.
