NYJO's October Holiday Project

A two-day jazz workshop for young musicians aged 13-18, led by NYJO educator Fergus Quill, focusing on ensemble playing and improvisation.

The National Youth Jazz Orchestra's October Holiday Project is a two-day collective for young people aged 13-18 who are Grade 3 or above on their instrument, including vocalists. Sessions cover ensemble playing, music reading and improvisation, drawing on music from across the whole history of jazz. It is aimed at young musicians with experience who want to build confidence in improvising and performing. Led by Fergus Quill, who also directs Fergus Quill's Imaginary Big Band in Leeds. Doors open at 12pm on both days.
