October Build a Band Workshop

A three-day half-term workshop where young musicians aged 11–18 form bands, learn a song together and perform it live.

Over three days in October half term, young musicians aged 11–18 meet at The Basement, form bands based on their instruments and musical tastes, and work up a song of their choosing in genres such as rock, pop or indie. Day one covers icebreakers, jamming and band formation; day two is spent rehearsing timing, dynamics and band communication; day three ends with a final rehearsal, sound check and a live performance to parents, friends and family. Participants should bring their own instrument and amp where applicable, with one drum kit available per session, and commit to all three days.
