A supportive introduction to sewing and garment construction, designed for complete beginners.
A practical introduction to sewing for complete beginners, covering safe use of a sewing machine and equipment, taking measurements, reading and adapting simple patterns, cutting and assembling fabric, basic dressmaking techniques, necklines and collars, zips and decorative stitching. Learners can progress to Creative Sewing & Textiles, Dressmaking and Garment Mending, or higher-level sewing and fashion courses.
