October Half-Term
About
A week of family activities at York Minster over October half-term, including medieval pilgrim living history, crafts, trails, the Undercroft Museum and a cinematic experience.
York Minster hosts a family programme across the October half-term week. Activities include Living History sessions with medieval pilgrims (26–31 October, 10am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm), autumnal gardening activities with the Minster Gardeners on 26–27 October, stained glass craft activities, Little Explorer Backpacks and Quest trails, plus access to the Undercroft Museum and a short film about St William's shrine recreated with 3D laser scanning and Unreal Engine. Most activities are drop-in and included with a sightseeing ticket; a separate Harry Potter-themed Grand Organ concert is ticketed through the box office.
