George and the Drag Queen

Pipeline Theatre’s bittersweet village-fête comedy entangles two first-aid volunteers with a drag queen booked to run the raffle.

Pipeline Theatre’s play follows George and Maddy, two first-aid volunteers preparing their tent at a village fête, and Lebanese drag queen Eliana Sultana, who has been booked to run the raffle. Their encounters bring together family connections, secrets and misunderstandings in a bittersweet comedy. The current production credits Kiko Gomersall as Elias/Eliana Sultana, Beck Watts as Maddy and Al Munden as George. Both rural-touring listings recommend ages 14 and over. Highlights lists an approximate 80-minute duration; this is programme information and does not establish a finish time.
