Surrealism: A Day of Talks

A day of talks and conversations exploring the legacy of Birmingham surrealist artist Emmy Bridgwater, with artists, writers and curators.

This day-long programme of conversations examines Emmy Bridgwater's impact, from her role in the Birmingham Surrealist Group to her resonance in projects such as Surreal Solihull and contemporary artistic practice. The schedule includes an introduction by Lucy Orta, in-conversation sessions with exhibiting artists, a lecture by Dr Silvano Levy followed by a Q&A, and a panel discussion chaired by Roma Piotrowska. Lunch is included with the ticket, and the Emmy Bridgwater and Birmingham Surrealists exhibition remains open until 5pm afterwards.
