Emerging Showcase: Ellen Beth Abdi + Janileigh Cohen

December's Emerging Showcase pairs Manchester multi-instrumentalist Ellen Beth Abdi with Lancashire songwriter Janileigh Cohen at The Box @ The Met.

The Met's regular Emerging Showcase spotlights rising artists, and this December edition features two acts. Ellen Beth Abdi builds her sound from live loops, drums and synths, having toured with New Order and A Certain Ratio before focusing on her solo work, with a debut album released in May 2025. Janileigh Cohen writes intimate folk-influenced songs; her debut album As a Child, released in March 2026, was recorded with musicians from Manchester to Nashville. The evening is fully seated.
