Helene Alving’s reunion with her son exposes family secrets in Richard Eyre’s adaptation of Ibsen’s Ghosts.

Kwame Owusu directs this family drama set in Norway in 1881. Oswald returns home as an orphanage prepares to honour his late father, bringing buried truths into the open and forcing mother and son to confront the costs of freedom from inherited expectations.
