Young Theatre Makers: Stage Combat Workshop Ages 8-10
About
A full-day stage combat workshop for ages 8-10, learning safe choreographed fight scenes for the stage.
This workshop introduces children aged 8-10 to stage combat, the art of creating the illusion of a fight safely and skillfully for an audience. Over a full day, participants work on choreography, control and communication, learning primary stage combat moves, exploring physical storytelling and discovering how performers make fights look realistic. The day includes warm-up games, practising choreographed sequences solo and with partners, and creating and performing their own stage combat scenes. The workshop is led by experienced Stage Combat Instructor, Fight Director and Performer Annie Mackenzie.
