Aglow 2026
About
A festive illuminated light trail through Auckland Palace's Deer Park with light installations, Santa's Village, food and drink.
AGLOW is a Christmas light trail winding around one and a half miles of Auckland Palace's 150-acre Deer Park in Bishop Auckland. The route features illuminated installations including one of Europe's longest light tunnels and a large lit Christmas tree wrapped in over a kilometre of lights, alongside sound, sculpture and fire effects. Visitors can also visit Santa's Village, where Santa appears every half hour from 5pm, and enjoy festive food and drink offerings along the route. Entry slots run every 15 minutes from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, with the trail recommended to take around an hour and a half; the event is closed on Christmas Day and several dates in late November and early December.
